Every outfit the former US actress wears is now heavily scrutinised following her marriage to Prince Harry on May 19   However, it seems as though she has been sending a powerful message with each of the incredible outfits she has worn for her first public appearances as a royal   On each public outing, the 36-year-old has worn dresses designed by a woman, or made at a fashion house with a female working as head designer – in a nod to her feminist views  Meghan wore an understated wedding dress by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy couture While some thought the dress was too minimal, it reflected the bride’s personal polished and modern style For her evening reception, she changed into a halter-neck sleeveless fishtail dress by Stella McCartney  A few days later for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday celebrations on May 22, the Duchess of Sussex wore The Flavia silk-crepe pencil dress by Goat This brand was established by founder and designer Jane Lewis in 2001  For Trooping of the Colour, she wore a blush pink dress by Caroline Herrera, a designer favoured in many royal circles   She chose Givenchy again for her first Royal Ascot, as well as her first appearance without her Royal Prince in Cheshire with the Queen  This week she wore a blush Prada skirt suit for the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards at Buckingham Palace   She also enlisted the help of other females to create her perfect wedding

The wedding cake was designed by acclaimed London baker Claire Ptak  Her floral concept was created by royal florist Philippa Craddock   What other things has Meghan done differently to other royals?  Meghan declared she was “proud to be a feminist” as she entered the Royal Family  She has defied conventions in a number of ways and done things differently to other royal females  She walked down the aisle solo after her father Thomas Markle was unable to attend the Royal Wedding due to ill health   The Duchess travelled with her mother Doria Ragland to St George’s Chapel after she was unable to carry out the traditional father-of-the-bride car ride   She also omitted the word “Obey” from her wedding vows She even gave her own speech at the wedding reception, despite men usually being the ones to conduct the speeches
